boundaries of the library are eligible to receive library cards for no
additional fees. Adults wishing to register for a card must bring with
them one form of identification that bears their name and address such
as driver's license. If your driver's license does not have your correct
Franklin Grove address on it, you may present it with a utility bill for
proof of address. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian
present with photo ID to apply for a library card.
Individuals residing beyond the jurisdictional boundaries of the Franklin
Grove Public Library may purchase a non-resident card for the price of
$55.72. This fee entitles the entire family residing at that address to
use the Library for one year.

Prior to using a public computer
featuring Internet access, reference resources, educational games, or

sign a Franklin Grove Public
Library Computer Policy. Patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent's
or guardian's signed Parental

The parent or guardian must come in with the child and sign the permission
slip in the presence of a Library staff member.
Public computers will be monitored by Cybrarian, a time and print management
software. Logging into the computer requires entering the barcode number
of the user's library card.
Patrons will be allowed access to the computer for a 30 minute session.
Sessions may be consecutive if no one is waiting. A maximum of two sessions
per day for are permitted for children through age 14. A maximum of four
sessions per day are permitted for adults age 15 and over. Extra session
time may be arranged with library staff in advance if space and time permits.
There is no charge for computer access for valid Franklin Grove Public
Library cardholders. Cardholders will log on to computers using their
library barcode. Users are not permitted to use library barcodes that
belong to another cardholder.
A guest pass will be issued free of charge to anyone with a valid library
card regardless of the home library. Guest passes must be returned to
the circulation desk when the session has ended.
Non library cardholders may have computer access by paying a daily fee
of $1 or by purchasing an annual Computer Use Only card for $10.

Wireless Network
The Franklin Grove Public Library also has a free wireless network available
for patrons. All you need to connect is your laptop or device with a wireless
card.
The service is free to all Library customers. Customers bring their own
wireless-enable laptop computer or other wireless device to the Library
to use the service. The Library does not loan laptops, wireless cards,
or PDAs.
Wireless network users agree to abide by the Library’s Computer
Use Policy.
Library staff cannot disable the filter on non-library computers.
Library personnel are not able to help wireless network customers configure
their laptop computers or other equipment. Everyone’s computer is
different; the Library cannot support customers’ equipment configurations.
The Library cannot be responsible for any changes customers make to their
equipment.
Printing is not available from laptop computers. If you need to print
something, save your work to a disk or e-mail the files to yourself and
then sign up to use a library computer that is connected to a printer.
Your information is not protected while using the wireless network. Keep
this in mind when accessing sensitive or personal information.
A fully charged battery is recommended. Public electric outlets may not
always be available. Customers may not string electrical cords across
